Ambassador Guo Min meets with Pakistani Ambassador to Azerbaijan Bilal Hayee

On December 14, 2021, Ambassador Guo Min met with Pakistani Ambassador to Azerbaijan Bilal Hayee at the Chinese embassy, the two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on China-Pakistan relations, strategic, economic and security cooperation between the two countries, the battle against COVID-19 pandemic, situation in Southcaucasus and other international and regional issues of mutual concern.

Ambassador Guo Min said, China and Pakistan share an all-weather strategic cooperative partnership, China-Pakistan traditional friendship has withstood the test of time and grown even stronger. The two sides have held over 100 events in warm celebration of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties this year, demonstrating the deep friendship and solid brotherly affection between the two countries. Given the depth and breadth of Pakistan-China ties, no matter how the international situation may change, the two sides have always stood side by side in weal and woe. The two countries cooperate closely in the international arena and firmly support each other on issues concerning each other’s core interests and major concerns, and jointly defend the fundamental interests of the two countries. China cherishes the traditional friendship between the two countries and is willing to stand firmly with Pakistan and push forward the all-weather strategic cooperative partnership and build a closer China-Pakistan community with a shared future in the new era.

The Pakistani Ambassador Bilal Hayee fully agreed with Ambassador Guo Min’s high marks on Pakistan-China relations and emphasized that, the two countries share deep traditional friendship and have worked together to overcome many difficulties and obstacles and always support each other in both good and bad times. The “iron-clad brotherhood” between the two countries is unbreakable. Pakistan appreciates China for its selfless assistance and support to Pakistan in fighting terrorism, promoting economic and social development and fighting against COVID-19 pandemic. Pakistan stands ready to work with China to maintain close strategic communication, further synergize development strategies and promote the building of the Pakistan-China Economic Corridor and practical cooperation in various areas to better benefit the people of the two countries.
