On January 13, 2022, Ambassador Guo Min met with newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Azerbaijan Mr. Lee Eun Yong.

Ambassador Guo Min congratulated Mr. Lee Eun Yong on his new position and said that China and the Republic of Korea are friendly neighbors with a long-standing traditional friendship. In recent years, with the great care and support of the two leaders of the two countries, the China-ROK strategic partnership of cooperation has achieved long-term development, great success has been made in the fields of economy, trade, culture, education, science and technology. The year of 2022 marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and the Republic of Korea, the relations between the two countries are faced with new opportunities. China stands ready to work with the Republic of Korea to further consolidate the momentum of close high-level exchanges, promote practical cooperation in various fields, and inject new impetus into the development of China-ROK relations.

Ambassador Lee Eun Yong fully agreed with Ambassador Guo Min’s high marks on ROK-China relations, and emphasized that the Republic of Korea attaches great importance to the development of relations with China, and is willing to work hand in hand with China to deepen mutual trust and practical cooperation between the two countries in various fields to achieve common development and prosperity, and to better benefit the peoples of the two countries. Ambassador Lee Eun Yong looks forward to establishing good working relations and personal friendship with Ambassador Guo Min, promoting the cooperation between the Embassies of the two countries in Azerbaijan, and making positive contributions to promoting the friendship between ROK and China from generation to generation.
