On December 13, 2022, Ambassador Guo Min met with Newly appointed Ambassador of the United Mexican States to Azerbaijan Maria Caballero.

Ambassador Guo Min congratulated Ms. Maria Caballero on the assumption of her new duty and pointed out that China and Mexico are good friends and good partners. Under the strategic leadership of the two heads of state, China-Mexico comprehensive strategic partnership has developed in an all-round way, with sound momentum in various areas of cooperation. The two sides have maintained close communication and coordination over international and regional issues, making significant contributions to maintaining world peace and promoting common development. China and Mexico are both developing countries, Chinese side will take the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries as an opportunity to move forward together with Mexico, share development opportunities, jointly deal with challenges and make greater contributions to building a community with a shared future for mankind.

Ambassador Maria Caballero fully agreed with Ambassador Guo Min’s high marks on Mexico-China relations, and pointed out that Mexico attaches great importance to developing relations with China. It's Mexico's firm and clear choice to develop friendly relations with China. Mexico will continue its support for China in safeguarding its legitimate rights and interests, actively advance Belt and Road cooperation, further enhance high-level mutual trust between the two sides, and deepen cooperation between the Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) countries and China. Ambassador Maria Victoria Romero Caballero looks forward to establishing good working relations and personal friendship with Ambassador Guo Min, promoting the cooperation between the Embassies of the two countries in Azerbaijan, and making positive contributions to promoting the friendship between Mexico and China.
