The Ministerial Conference of the Coordinating Bureau of the Non-Aligned Movement was held in Baku on 5-6 July 2023.Ambassador Guo Min attended the meeting and delivered a speech as the head of the delegation of the People’s Republic of China.

Ambassador Guo Min pointed out that, the theme of the conference “united and steadfast in confronting emerging challenges” follows the trends of the times, responds to the call of the world, and bears great practical significance. As a banner of developing countries coming together for strength, NAM is becoming ever more important under the current historic background and in today's international relations, and is bound to undertake more responsibilities and herald greater development opportunities. China calls on all countries to hold high the banner of cooperation, stick to the original aspiration of solidarity for strength, strengthen solidarity and cooperation, jointly foster a sound international environment, focus on development and build global development partnership, safeguard fairness and justice and practice true multilateralism.

Ambassador Guo Min stressed that, cementing the solidarity and cooperation with developing countries has been and will continue to be the staunch strategic priority for China's diplomacy. China was, is, and will always be a member of developing countries. China stands ready to expand and deepen the traditional friendship and mutual cooperation with NAM, implement the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative and the Global Civilization Initiative, and jointly work tirelessly to build a community with a shared future for mankind.
