On October 23, 2023, Ambassador Guo Min attended the unveiling ceremony of the Confucius class at Khazar University. Founder of Khazar University Hamlet Isakhanli, rector Irada Khalilova, vice-rector of Anhui University Zhou Fei, representatives of chinese-funded institutions, overseas Chinese, teachers and students from Khazar University and Confucius Institute at Baku State University participated in the event.

During her speech, Ambassador Guo Min extended sincere congratulations on the establishment of the first Confucius class in Azerbaijan and emphasized that with the personal concern and promotion of President Xi Jinping and President Ilham Aliyev, China-Azerbaijan relations are flourishing. Cooperation between the two countries in the field of humanities have been constantly achieving new results. The Confucius Institutes in Azerbaijan have become an important platform for Azerbaijani people to learn Chinese language and to know better about China. Ambassador Guo Min expressed confidence that the Confucius class at Khazar University will make a positive contribution to the Chinese language enthusiasts in Azerbaijan to better learn the language and culture of China, as well as to strengthening friendship and people-to-people contacts between the two nations.

The event was carried out in a friendly and warm atmosphere. Ambassador Guo Min together with the founder of Khazar University Hamlet Isakhanli, rector Irada Khalilova, and vice-rector Zhou Fei unveiled the Confucius class. At the event, teachers and students from Confucius Institute and Khazar University performed Chinese Tai Chi Fan, Azerbaijani folk dance, Chinese and Azerbaijani songs.
